Harvard Law School professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz, who has faced accusations related to his former client Jeffrey Epstein, strongly stated on Newsmax on Friday that he would like the House Oversight Committee to call him in to testify publicly. He also demanded that the names of those accusing him and others be made public.
âIâm delighted that there are public hearings,â Dershowitz told âBianca Across the Nation.â âI invite them to call me. Iâm happy to testify.â
Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her husband, former President Bill Clinton, have agreed to testify before the committee. Hillary Clinton has called for the hearings to be conducted in public.
Alan Dershowitz noted that the former president is listed in connection with Jeffrey Epstein, but the names of Clintonâs accusers have been redacted.
âClintonâs name is on the list,â Dershowitz argued. âIt says Bill Clinton, not a victim in Epsteinâs case, claimed she was invited to an orgy with Clinton but did not attend.â
âYou know, again, letâs have a public hearing, but letâs name these accusers,â he added. âThese accusers have no right to accuse and then hide behind anonymity.â
Dershowitz stated that in his own case, âit says not a minor,â so that factor should not be considered when deciding whether to release the identities of the accusers.
âWhat right does an adult woman have to level an accusation of false, totally false accusation against me and hide behind redaction and anonymity?â
Alan Dershowitz was part of Jeffrey Epsteinâs legal team in 2007, during which they negotiated a non-prosecution agreement in Florida. He later continued to represent Epstein as civil suits against him expanded.
Dershowitz was no longer serving as Epsteinâs legal counsel in July 2019, when Epstein was facing charges of sex trafficking involving minors.
One month later, Epstein died in a New York correctional facility, and his death was ruled a suicide.

In an interview with Newsmax, Dershowitz stated that it is âMcCarthyismâ and âunconstitutionalâ not to release the names of the accusers.
âIâm delighted that weâre going to see public hearings,â he said. âLet them call me to the public hearings. Iâll tell them the truth about what happened.â
Dershowitz added that he wonât claim any privileges.
âI wonât claim any inability to remember,â he said. âI remember everything, and I know a great deal about it. But they wonât call me because theyâre not interested in the truth. Theyâre interested only in gossip.â
However, the ongoing controversy about Epstein âis really not about Jeffrey Epstein anymore,â said Dershowitz.
âThis is about the worst form of McCarthyism that has afflicted America since the 1950s,â he said.
Dershowitz continued that the Justice Department has released a list of âprominent names,â but âevery single name of every accuser has been blacked out.â
âSo, for example, letâs turn to me,â Dershowitz said. âIt says blank, blank, blank, blacked out. Stated she gave him a massage on Epsteinâs plane. Parenthesis. Not a minor.â
âI was never on Epsteinâs plane with a young woman,â he insisted.
âSo letâs understand that this is an adult, a woman who was on Epsteinâs plane, she says,â said Dershowitz. âI was never on Epsteinâs plane with a young woman. I never got a massage. This is total defamation, a total lie.â
But he added that he canât disprove the claim âbecause they wonât give me her name.â
Dershowitz also responded to allegations suggesting that Epstein had connections with Israelâs Mossad.
âItâs an absurd theory. He was not a Mossad agent,â said Dershowitz.
Dershowitz also insisted that Epstein âwas not suicidal.â
âThe lawyers told me that he was told he had a good chance of getting out on bail Monday or Tuesday, following the weekend when he allegedly killed himself, so thereâs a good argument that he didnât kill himself,â said Dershowitz. âBut then you have to ask yourself, who killed him?â
